PSVR at home..thoughts about VR

A couple of days ago my family gave me a day off. A whole day where they went and did girly things without me. They were gone for around 8 hours.
As they drove off as stood in the driveway waving sadly with a lil water in my eyes as they left without me. Wont lie im not seperated from my kids at all so when theres a day I dont see them Something feels off and wrong. Then they come back and I dream of time to myself..never happy lol
So what do I do with all this time to myself? I finally get to have a day to play PSVR. Not gonna talk about the games I played, (Batman VR and every demo and free Game I could find) but the experience quelled a lot of my VR fears. I went on a VR marathon of sorts, only taking the headset off to pee, snack and drink water.
I enjoyed every moment, except when my cats would rub my legs and creep me the hell out. Cats are dicks, they also knocked things off the counter so I had to look to make sure my physical self was not in any danger.
Playing VR like that all day though, I did not experience any dizziness, towards the end a little bit of fatigue but mainly in my neck, not really a complaint about the headsets weight but more of VR depends so much on your neck muscles in some games. Normally from frantic looking around or using your vision as the aim cursor.
One thing that blew my mind was the loss of time. My wife called me to give me a heads up that they were coming home and not to ve alarmed since my heads in a virtual dome. But that was the first time I looked at the clock. Where had my day gone?! Being in Virtual land I had no idea, but I was running out of time so I dived back in, needed to finish before the little ones came in to claw at me and beg to use my toys. Finished up my game, took the headset off..WTF its nighttime? Wheres my family?
They day ran past me and I didnt even notice, what was 8 hours felt like maybe 2?
What came next was the weirdest expierence for me, I longed for reality, like I needed to go outside, my other senses where upset with me. I found this the weirdest thing, in my life Ive been known to game all day and went to bed satisfied. But after VR I wanted to go outside and touch a tree or something, maybe to confirm what was real?
Overall I was very happy with VR experience, no motion sickness, lots of fun. Cant wait for more. (I dont VR when the only parent in the house, gotta watch them kids)
I look forward to the future of gaming more than ever, in the past technology like the Kinect, playstation eye, power glove and all of these always excited me. But they always came with quirks, troubles tracking, glitches etc. The PSVR feels so damn polished, for me it worked like a dream.
Need me to complain about something? The cord on the back of my head can suck but I normally just rest it on the chair im using and it takes the tension off.
Can you imagine the day when it becomes wireless? The day they add smell and touch? I dont look forward to taste, i dunno maybe it would help me loss weight if I could eat cuber donuts all day instead of real ones.
PSVR really makes me excited for the future, I do hope they continue to make amazing games for this and its not just some gimmick that will vanish in the coming years.
Any questions just ask but I wanted to share my experience with you.
