P.D.O.L.Y.C. (Public Displays of losing your cool)

Lately I've noticed this growing trend of people just losing their shit so hell lets blog about it.

Its summer time, The suns at its hottest, The younglings are out of school, New games are finally here...what a great time of the year right?

But sadly that's coming to and end, some have already had to return to school others have a couple weeks left and they are MAD! and guess whos gonna have to take it? Yup us Streamers, youtubers etc!

The trolls are out in full force. Hey I'm feeling it too, they have gone as far as to troll me off stream, WTF thats a new one for me.

So with my crappy intro out of the way, Ya its hard to always keep your cool, Lately for me its been very hard. Thanks to summertime, being a stay at home dad and these damn awesome video games to play I've been skippin the sleepings.

A couple of streams have been real hard not to call it early cuz of the emotions boiling all over the place, then a troll walks in and its like ok, ok, someone needs to spank this person and put them in a time out,

But lets talk about the real subject here. Lets talk about going down your Twitter wall and seeing posts that are full of negativity, not the funny ones ment as a joke, I'm talking about calling out your community and guilting them for not showing up. I'm talking about losing your cool and telling everyone your quitting because you had a slow day. Calm your tits. Your stream is your business. Would you want to stop by and window shop a business that was always advertising their prices where too high cuz no one shops there? I sure as hell wouldn't.

Now imagine this, your having "a day" You need a break, your searching twitch, go into a channel and everyone's having fun, chats moving, its a good day in here! Do you stay or go? Now you stumble onto another streamer and even before you have a chance to say hi, negativity just pours from their mouths, "No One Watches me!, Twitch is rigged! Fuck this stupid game im playing! Its a presidents fault" Now with everything you already had to deal with is that something you feel like? I mean I don't, I wanted something to take my mind off the day that wasn't laced with drama. All this is just food for thought.

Imagine if you went to a party, and not many showed up but you made the best of it. Then later when you got home the party host wrote, "Man my parties hella suck no one shows up" Would you want to go back? that prick just called me a no one? I was there, I thought we had fun..fuck that person. Its Toxic and your destroying your brand.

Now for some personal solutions I use myself:

1. Find some good trustworthy friends to vent to. Tell them how you feel, Are you emotional because your tired? You angry cuz the neighbor keeps tossing shit on your yard? you'll find out by talking about it. You'll feel better and be able to come up with a solution to make your days happier. And a Happier streamer has a much funner time regardless of who shows up.

2. Take a day off, You about to hit the Start Streaming button and your already pissed. Reconsider just playing games with no audience today. have a YOU day. A day without people telling you how to play or what to do, a day where no trolls piss on your work, a day to clear your head and miss your friends.

3. Consider that streaming may not be for you. Now I have a hard time recommending this one . Because if you love streaming don't even go there. But if every time you stream, it makes you mad, no ones showing up, why don't have views like so and so. just Stop. Stop staring at other people trying to succeed. You need to look at your own finish line and stop staring at the others running toward it too. You measure your own success! Set realistic goals for yourself.

Protect your brand, If your brand is nothing but toxic negativity that is exactly what it will attract because hey that's what your selling.

Well all lose our cool, its human, Just try to do less of it while at work :)
