Failing is -

As March passes by and the beautiful month of April is upon us it's nice to reflect and go man what the heck happened in March I cannot believe it's already over.
Looking back at March and being so busy I can smile and go man, The VazCave has been a nightmare but its sooo close to being done. Playing catch up with my duties here in Stream Land and looking over all the days I missed in March can leave this feeling of doom and a sense of failure. But this is where I stop myself, A lot of stuff happened in March, I could list a huge list of excuses and woe is me life is hard crap. But I won't.
March was Community month, I played mostly the Division with great friends, and we played a couple of other titles along the way. I am aware that views are slightly down but so what? I played games with my friends and had a blast. We switch games on the Vazio82 Channel like crazy, because that’s what I am, I am a variety streamer and I play all kinds of games because that's what I want to play.
Being told what to play is one of the shittiest things you can do to a streamer. If you don't like what they are playing just come back when it’s your cup of tea.
As streamers there will be all kinds of things that may make you feel like you’re "failing" at streaming. Low Numbers, no one’s watching, you’re not partnered, no super elite gaming company gives you stuff, never got a tip, follower number etc. Trust me, these thoughts pop in a lot of our minds since streaming can be so competitive.
But this just brings back the question of why you’re streaming in the first place? Are you streaming to be super popular and get those monies? Are you streaming because it opens a window to make new friends?
Even when negativity like this attacks me I stop myself. I HAVE to. Because trust me, in the world we live in someone always likes to remind you of these things. It may have been a message "Hey your channels at half views" "Hey so and so is doing better than you right now" and so on. Screw that.
Views are as dependable as the weather. Ooo Tomorrow is going to be a busy one. But no one shows. This game is crap no one wants to see that.. And it turns out that’s a game everyone misses. You’re playing the latest action game? Well so is everyone else.
Don't let the negativity destroy what you love.
Why do you stream? I stream because as a stay at home dad that loves Video games, I need my time to play games with my buddies, and ever since I have started streaming and the community has grown I never have to game alone anymore. Even if they are not playing the same game with me there's hopefully someone to talk to. And people’s lives get busy and sometimes they can make it. But as long as I am waiting in the same spot the chances are I'll see them again and that is amazing.
Failure is a perspective. It's all about how you look at it. Someone looking through a small window may only see numbers and all that garbage. Some may be looking for you to fail so they just study your faults.
None of that matter, what matters is how you see yourself. Do you see yourself as failing? Are you using this information as an excuse to feel bad and eat too many chips? Or will you use it to improve? Use it to empower yourself, take the power back.
I don't believe you’re a failure. I believe in you. You’re trying right? How can you be a failure if you’re trying?
Stream because you enjoy it. Succeed on your terms; Failure is just another word for giving up.
